About the Role
The Cleaning & Sanitizing Technician is a key GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) employee responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of classified areas, where manufacturing and laboratory work is being performed. Those classified areas include: cleanroom corridors, laboratory areas, production areas, materials and products receiving and dispatching areas, and other GMP areas. The job holder is required to operate in a safe manner complying fully with the GMP and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) requirements, as well as all relevant regulations. Handling safely contained biproducts of manufacturing and lab processes is also a part of the job.

What You Will Do

Execute detailed cleaning and sanitization procedures and routines for various Non-Classified GMP areas, including production rooms, labs, equipment, and common areas, following the established SOPs and schedules.

Operate powered cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners and window washing tools to perform cleaning of floors, walls and windows.

Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records of all cleaning activities and any other required documentation, adhering to the Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Fullycomply withand implement all company policies, departmental procedures, and GMP and HP (Health Physics) regulations to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Use approved cleaning materials and tools, monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, prepare cleaning detergents and agents for cleaning and sanitizing, and ensure cleaning equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored.

Support for cleaning in other plant areas when required.

Comply with SOPs and radiation safety protocols and procedures relevant to managing radioactive waste.

Complete assigned training and maintain personal training records.

Support for internal and external audits, including client and regulatory audits.

Ensure that all work is conducted according to safety policies and regulations.

Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Higher Secondary Education or equivalent.

Entry level / limited experience candidates welcome to apply.

1-2 years of experience working in a GMP or Pharmaceutical production aseptic environment is an asset.

Ability to work evening, night or day shifts throughout the week or weekend on a rotational or fixed basis.

Fluent in English (verbal, reading and writing skills).

Ability to lift up to 23 kilograms is required.

Able to stand for long periods of time, in addition to bending, squatting, walking and standing throughout the day.

Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and actively embrace constructive feedback.
Compensation:
Salary starts at $22.00/hr. Compensation is based on relevant industry experience, academic credentials, and qualifications.
