Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ/DZ Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team at Capital Contractors Ltd. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently transport dumpster bins across Ottawa. This role requires strong knowledge of roll-off operations, manual transmission driving, and the ability to assist with light mechanical work and yard maintenance when needed. You will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries while upholding our excellent safety record and trusted local reputation built over 20+ years.

Your Role
- Operate manual transmission roll-off trucks to deliver, collect, switch, install, and remove dumpsters
- Safely load, secure, and tarp all materials for transport
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections; report defects, safety concerns, or damage immediately
- Pick up and transport partial/full loads to designated facilities for dumping
- Maintain a neat appearance and professional attitude with clients
- Complete required paperwork accurately (inspection reports, scale tickets, mileage logs)
- Keep client sites clean by removing any spilled material before departure
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding schedules and issues
- Assist with light mechanical work and maintenance projects
- Participate in paid training and follow all company safety protocols
- Enjoy company BBQs, outings, holiday parties and team activities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven 3-year experience in commercial driving with a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year roll-off dumpster experience (drop & pick-up)
- Skilled in manual transmission operation
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Experience in construction or mechanics is an asset
- Strong reliability and safety-first mindset
