Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions and managing sales. The Cashier will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers and supporting the overall store operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing displays
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling and transaction procedures
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the store
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with good time management to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction
- Organizational skills to maintain a tidy checkout area and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Pay: $15.90 per hour
