Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Direct to Film (DTF) Heat Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heat press equipment to produce high-quality printed transfers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and warehouse experience are highly valued. The Heat Press Operator will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the timely delivery of products while maintaining safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate DTF heat press machines to transfer designs onto various substrates with precision and consistency.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Prepare materials and substrates for printing, including loading and unloading items onto the heat press.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in packaging finished products for shipment or storage as needed if pressing is slow.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Follow detailed work instructions and quality control procedures throughout the pressing process.
Qualifications
- Previous apparel decoration, heat pressing, warehouse, or production experience is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
