Mobility & Customer Support Specialist- The Access Store

You will help customers navigate life with confidence by supporting access to medical supplies, mobility equipment, daily living aids, and rehabilitation solutions that truly improve quality of life for individuals living with spinal cord injuries and mobility challenges.

Location: Keewatin Street, NW Winnipeg
Salary: $48,000 – $58,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Requirements: Valid MB driver’s license & reliable vehicle
About the Role
This newly created position has been designed to help support and drive company growth initiatives while also providing dependable administrative and operational support across the organization.
The role combines:
- Customer service and client support
- Administrative coordination and operational support
- Medical equipment and mobility product sales support
- Outreach and relationship-building with rehabilitation hospitals and healthcare professionals
- E-commerce and online sales support
- Inside sales and growth activities
You will work closely with leadership to help strengthen customer relationships, expand referral opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and support the continued growth of The Access Store both in-store and online.
What You’ll DoCustomer Service & Administrative Support
- Deliver excellent customer service across phone, email, online, and in-person channels with professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness
- Maintain organized customer records, account updates, documentation, and administrative systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Process orders, quotes, invoices, returns, exchanges, and follow-up communications efficiently and accurately
- Support day-to-day office coordination and operational tasks to ensure smooth workflow across departments
- Coordinate communication between customers, suppliers, healthcare professionals, and internal team members
- Assist leadership with scheduling, reporting, documentation, and operational follow-through
- Help ensure timely resolution of customer concerns, product issues, and service requests
Medical Equipment Sales & Product Support
- Guide customers through mobility and medical equipment product selection using empathy and strong product knowledge
- Support inside sales activities by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions
- Assist customers with product demonstrations, education, and ongoing support
- Support troubleshooting, adjustments, and coordination of repairs for common mobility and accessibility equipment
- Help increase awareness of products and services through customer engagement and follow-up
Rehabilitation Hospital & Healthcare Engagement
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with rehabilitation hospitals, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, discharge planners, and healthcare professionals
- Support outreach initiatives with referral sources and healthcare organizations
- Help coordinate meetings, presentations, product information, and follow-up communication with healthcare partners
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve referral pathways and customer access to products and services
E-Commerce & Business Growth Support
- Assist with online product listings, website updates, e-commerce inquiries, and digital customer engagement
- Support growth initiatives related to online sales, social media outreach, and customer retention
- Help improve customer communication and follow-up systems to support long-term growth
- Assist leadership in identifying operational improvements and business development opportunities
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that support company expansion and customer experience improvements
What We’re Looking ForExperience & SkillsAdministrative & Operational Support
- Strong organizational ability with proven experience handling records, documentation, scheduling, order processing, follow-up, and day-to-day operational coordination
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and accountability
Customer Service
- 3+ years of experience delivering responsive, professional, and empathetic customer service in person, by phone, and in writing
- Experience in healthcare, medical equipment, retail support, rehabilitation services, or related client-facing environments is considered an asset
Sales & Business Development Support
- Confidence identifying customer needs, supporting sales conversations, preparing quotes, and recommending appropriate products or solutions
- Experience supporting growth initiatives, outreach activities, or relationship-building is considered an asset
- Comfortable building professional relationships with customers, healthcare providers, and referral partners
E-Commerce & Technology
- Experience supporting online sales platforms, web-based systems, or e-commerce operations is considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook), and web-based applications
- Comfortable learning new systems, products, and technologies
Communication & Initiative
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions, solve problems, and follow through until resolution
