This role reports to the Controller with some oversight from the Assistant Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of company operations, purchasing policies and payment terms.
- Full purchase-to-pay cycle processing including creating purchase orders (as back-up for the Purchasing Agent), processing vendor invoices and managing scheduled and ad-hoc payment runs.
- AP sub-ledger maintenance, including vendor account management, AP (GL) account and ad-hoc vendor account reconciliations.
- AP month-end close and reporting.
- Dispute resolutions, including investigation and resolution of AP issues.
- AP document management, including organising, filing and archiving.
- AP audit facilitation.
- Supporting receptionist with answering phone calls, vault order confirmations etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Formal training in accounting, finance, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for success.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an accounts payable or similar role, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, allowing you to streamline processes and enhance workflow.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and delivering top-notch service.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a keen ability to manage complex tasks and maintain order in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ensuring you can tackle challenges head-on and find innovative solutions.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, to manage data, create reports, and contribute to process improvements.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00 per year
