POSITION: Junior School Teacher - temporary
ASSIGNMENT: French Immersion, Career Education (Gr 8-9). This position involves teaching several subjects to the French Immersion class, which includes FRAL, PE, Careers and Sciences Humaines or Science. There are also some Core French 8 and 9 blocks. Each morning starts with a 20-minute advisory block with a smaller group of students.

LOCATION: Quesnel Junior School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing May 27, 2026 until June 30, 2026, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent, with the possibility of reduction in FTE.
Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization:
- Secondary Education with major/minor in French Immersion
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the junior school level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
Additional Qualifications:
- Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in French Immersion - Fluency in English/French - oral/written - Applicant must be willing to take a language proficiency test - oral and written

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges
from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service
and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a
competitive benefits package and pension.
