Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of goods within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and demonstrate excellent attention to safety and accuracy. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking with accuracy using warehouse management systems (WMS) to fulfill customer orders
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining proper storage procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks safely when required, following proper lifting techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution operations with forklift certification preferred
- Proficiency operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate inventory control
- Strong understanding of order picking processes and inventory accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
- Excellent attention to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
