Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal operational performance. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience and familiarity with industrial equipment are highly valued. The Shop Mechanic will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by performing maintenance tasks, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy machinery used across multiple industries.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Preform regular maintenance inspections
- Conduct welding, assembly, and electrical repairs as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems
- Operate heavy machinery for testing or repair purposes when necessary
- Keep trucks, trailers and equipment in ready to work conditions
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment
- Preform necessary maintenance on fleet( greasing and oil changes)
- Brake and safety repairs
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment such as sweepers, and farm machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service and team collaboration
Requirements
- Valid G Driver's License (Class A preferred)
- 2-5 years related experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair.

Pay: $38.00-$44.00 per hour
