Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Cook:
- Assists in directing food preparation in accordance with established standards of quality, portion control, taste, and presentation.
- Ensures compliance with Health & Safety regulations and monitors food leaving the kitchen to maintain required quality and presentation standards.
- Supervises and prepares food for outlets and banquet functions in line with established quality and service standards.
- Inspects refrigerators and storage areas to prevent spoilage and contamination and plans effective use of reusable food items.
- Conducts inventories and ensures adequate supply levels while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinates with the Head of Department and other departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Reviews menus with staff and oversees food preparation, taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Ensures proper sanitation, cleanliness, dishwashing operations, and adherence to budgeted food cost controls.

- Exceptional customer service skills!
- Smart Serve Certification.
- Food Handling Certification is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
