The Township of St. Clair is seeking a motivated individual for a seasonal full-time Food Services Lead Hand – Concessions position within the Community Services Department.
Working directly under the supervision of the Coordinator of Parks & Recreation, the Food Services Lead Hand is responsible for the safe and reliable day-to-day operation of the Concession at the Mooretown Sports Complex. This role will also ensure that the duties of the Concession are completed, under the direction of management, and in accordance with the Township’s established policies and procedures.
Some responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: preparing staff schedules and training staff, inventory management, promoting products and services, maintaining cash floats, and serving and preparing food.
The successful incumbent will also ensure a courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
Education and Qualifications:
Required qualifications will include a minimum of a grade 12 diploma, with preference given to those with post-secondary education in business and / or food services, and a Food Handlers Certificate. Smart Service certification and 5 years’ related experience in the food service industry are also considered an asset.
This opportunity exists on a seasonal basis and is approved for the 2026 fall / winter season. Compensation will be in accordance with OPSEU Local 123 Collective Agreement. The rate of pay will range from $26.02 to $30.91 per hour and the successful candidate will assume a 40-hour work week. This is primarily an evening and weekend position, and the successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours.
