Join Premier Cloud as a Google Workspace Customer Engineer
As a Google Workspace Customer Engineer at Premier Cloud, your role requires close, proactive collaboration and seamless, professional interaction with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Externally, this encompasses Premier Cloud's valued customer base, where you function as a technical expert, supporting and leading discussions with our sales teams. It also involves cultivating a robust and strategic working relationship with our key partners, most notably the Google sales and professional services teams. Internally, you will work collaboratively with Premier Cloud's Sales, Project Management, Change Management, and technical delivery teams to ensure project alignment and successful implementation. Throughout your responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to:

Your role encompasses ongoing client engagement, including daily interactions throughout the sales process—from initial qualification and project kickoff to communicating progress and final closure. You will work collaboratively with a diverse array of stakeholders, including technical project managers, engineers, and executive leadership. Success in this role necessitates a combination of profound technical expertise and the ability to communicate proficiently with clients.

Providing Technical Pre-Sales Assistance with the sales department to evaluate the commercial challenges and technical environments of prospective customers, serving as a technical subject matter expert (SME) to offer professional advice throughout the sales cycle.

Delivering persuasive technical briefings, live product demonstrations, and in-depth architectural reviews for potential clients to highlight the functional advantages and value of Google's unified solution stack.

Determining project requirements and estimating resources to facilitate the sales cycle, which involves specifying technical needs, forecasting necessary staffing, and preemptively addressing implementation challenges.

Acting as a Strategic Technical Partner by building authoritative professional relationships with client-side technical leadership, providing specialist guidance and clearing roadblocks during their Google Workspace adoption.
What we’re looking for
Experience

Technical Sales Engineering Experience: Proven experience in a customer-facing role (5+ years).

Expertise in Google Workspace: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Google Workspace ecosystem and a strong drive to promote its diverse suite of services.

Technical Discovery: Experience in being able to identify customer problems, technical objections, and use cases.
Required Credentials

Associate Google Workspace Administrator certification to be completed within the first 45 days of employment

Google Cloud Digital Leader certification to be completed within the first 6 months of employment.

Google Generative AI Leader certification to be completed within the first 1 year of employment
Qualifications

Generative AI (Gemini Enterprise): Expertise in utilizing AI platforms to automate business operations, with a specific focus on agentic AI functionalities and the implementation of third-party integrations.

Governance & Security: Possessing the expertise to manage data handling policies, safeguard cloud infrastructures, and implement data loss prevention strategies via the Admin console.

Migration from Third-Party Platforms: You possess the skill set required to transition email and document data from external environments—including Microsoft 365, Box, OneDrive, Dropbox, and legacy on-premise infrastructure—into Google Workspace. This competency involves a thorough mastery of Google's recommended migration frameworks and specialized transition workflows.

Google-to-Google Data Transfer: Demonstrated ability to execute data moves between Google environments using both standard techniques and the specialized Domain Transfer Tool.

Microsoft 365 Architecture Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including its underlying architecture and services. You must be highly proficient in planning and executing migrations, as well as managing environments such as Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, and Purview.

RFP/RFI Management: Experience in being able to reply to the technical parts of RFPs and RFIs.

Market Expansion & Strategic Growth: Partnering with Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales Specialists to formulate account-specific strategies that drive pipeline expansion.

Executive Presence: Experience presenting to and influencing technical stakeholders, such as CIOs and IT directors.

Complex Problem Solving: Ability to solve technical problems and adjust solutions for different customer environments.

Narrative & Interpretation: Possesses the capacity to articulate intricate technical details plainly, ensuring that the commercial advantages are effectively communicated.

Interpersonal Synergy: Coordinating across various internal Google departments and maintaining productive engagement with external partner organizations.

Cloud Ecosystem Proficiency: knowledge of cloud platforms including AODocs, Okta, JumpCloud, M.io, Omnissa, CloudFuze, and CloudM

Exceptional communication abilities, both written and oral, with a talent for distilling intricate technical information for diverse groups of stakeholders

A proven history of fostering successful collaborations between Sales and Engineering units

Highly skilled in drafting Statements of Work (SOW), business cases, and various forms of technical documentation

Expertise in developing presales materials, particularly in the accurate quantification of project requirements and scope

Superior organizational aptitude with a demonstrated ability to manage several simultaneous projects effectively

Experienced in facilitating in-depth workshops and sessions dedicated to technical discovery, security standards, and cloud compliance

An optional but highly regarded competency in scripting languages such as Google Apps Script, JavaScript, or Python for solution support.
