Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all patrons at our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring activities in and around the water, enforcing safety rules, and providing assistance in emergency situations.
Duties
- Monitor swimming areas to ensure the safety of all patrons.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
- Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area.
- Assist with swim lessons or other aquatic programs as required.
- Communicate effectively with patrons regarding safety guidelines.
Skills
- Proficient swimming ability with strong water rescue skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving equipment or assisting distressed swimmers.
- Excellent observational skills to detect potential hazards or unsafe behavior.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patrons and team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations.
- Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid is required.
