Job Overview
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the general cleanliness, maintenance, security, and operational oversight of the condominium building during weekend hours. The role includes responding to resident concerns, performing routine cleaning and maintenance duties, monitoring building systems, and ensuring that common areas and amenities are properly maintained.
The Assistant Superintendent acts as the primary on-site contact for building issues during weekends and must be available to respond to emergencies and operational needs.
Reporting Structure
The Assistant Superintendent reports to Property Management and works in coordination with the Full-Time Superintendent.
Hours and On-Call Responsibilities
•Weekend coverage from Friday at 4:00 PM to Sunday at 4:00 PM.
•On-call 24 hours during this period for emergencies and urgent building issues.
•Responsible for carrying the building phone during the assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the building, including responding to resident requests, coordinating contractor access, and assisting with emergencies. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, parking levels, and amenities, including pool operations and chemical testing. Conducts regular security checks, monitors building activity, and reports concerns to Property Management. Completes basic equipment and facility inspections, supports seasonal duties such as snow and ice removal, and assists the Superintendent with overall building operations to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
Qualifications
- Previous building maintenance, custodial, or superintendent experience preferred.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, cleaning, and snow removal.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.95-$25.00 per hour
