Green Works Contracting is growing and we are looking for an experienced and passionate Horticulturist to join our Landscaping Team. If you have strong plant knowledge, an eye for design, and enjoy working both with clients and in the field, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify plants and provide expert plant care recommendations
- Design and develop residential landscape plans
- Participate in planting, sod installation, and full landscape projects
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Follow job jackets, drawings, and site instructions with precision
- Support crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in planting and landscaping
- Strong plant identification and horticultural knowledge
- Experience creating residential landscaping designs
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Comfortable working on landscaping and sod crews
- Ability to follow instructions and read landscape drawings
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop daily
Assets:
- Experience operating ¾-ton trucks and 5-ton medium-duty dump trucks
- Strong knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas
