Eden Gardens is a non-profit long-term care home providing specialized dementia and senior care in Nanaimo, BC.
We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in long term care or assisted living who are looking for a supportive team environment, and meaningful resident relationships.
This role is ideal for an RN who values person-centered care, consistent teamwork, and the opportunity to build expertise in dementia and geriatric nursing.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and clinical oversight in a long-term care (LTC) setting
- Administer and oversee medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor, assess, and document resident health status and changes in condition
- Support residents living with dementia and complex care needs
- Collaborate with LPNs, Health Care Aides (HCAs), and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead and support the care team to ensure high-quality resident care
- Develop and update individualized care plans
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, infection control, and care policies
- Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in British Columbia
- 1–3 years of nursing experience preferred (long term care and/or assisted living)
- Knowledge of dementia and geriatric care preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Experience with electronic documentation systems is an asset
- Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Days / evenings and weekends
