We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide oral health education and personalized advice to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall dental hygiene
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatories
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Address patient questions regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care in a professional manner
Skills
- Proficiency in Tracker or other dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Experience with children is advantageous for supporting clinical workflows
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, empathetic approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
This position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist with prior dental office experience. Candidates should be committed to providing outstanding patient care, fostering a welcoming environment, and continuously enhancing their professional skills.
