Job Description:
- Maintain production lines to meet production requirements; perform preventative maintenance
- Robotics-ABB and Motoman (teach and troubleshoot)
- Servo Programming (teach and troubleshoot)
- Troubleshoot high pressure water jet machinery
- Omron and Allen Bradley PLCs (troubleshoot and program)
- Welding, cutting, drilling, and fabricating
- Machine/Facility Wiring - various voltages (sensors, lights etc.)
- Manage spare parts-inventory (awareness and organization)
- Pneumatics-familiarity with SMC Cylinders, hosing, valves, regulators/flow control and associated connections
- Mechanical/hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting
- Facilities maintenance (general plant upkeep) and continuous improvement (kaizen activities)
- Accept all requisite training to sustain the expectations and qualifications the role requires
- Accept all other tasks and requests as deemed necessary by the Leadership Team
Education/Certification & Compensation:
- 309A or 442 Electrical License or ticketed trade preferred
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Days (7am-3pm) & afternoons (3pm-11pm); general shift coverage with flexibility for periodic night shift
- Proven mechanical and/or electrical experience; automotive manufacturing experience an asset
- Focus on PLC & HMI programming and associated logic troubleshooting
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and strong mechanical aptitude
- Proven machine operation troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Energetic, self driven/motivated to continuously improve
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Attention to detail
- Sound judgment in decision making and establishing priorities.
- Proactive and oriented to make improvements in systems and procedures.
- Follows all safety rules, guidelines and uses appropriate PPE.
