We are looking for a Recruitment & Caregiver Engagement Coordinator who is passionate about building and supporting a strong caregiver workforce.
Position Summary
The Recruitment & Caregiver Engagement Coordinator is responsible for attracting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining high-quality caregivers. This role combines recruitment, workforce compliance, employee engagement, and caregiver support to ensure Longevity Care maintains a reliable and compassionate team of caregivers.
The ideal candidate understands the home care industry, has strong administrative skills, and is comfortable managing employment documentation, work permit tracking, and caregiver compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for Health Care Aides, Companions, and Caregivers
- Create and maintain job postings across Indeed, social media, community boards, and other recruitment platforms
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates
- Conduct reference checks and background screening
- Develop recruitment partnerships with colleges, community organizations, and newcomer agencies
- Attend career fairs and recruitment events
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified caregiver candidates
Onboarding & Workforce Compliance
- Coordinate caregiver onboarding and orientation
- Ensure all required documentation is completed prior to employment
- Maintain caregiver files, certifications, and training records
- Track expiration dates for:
- Work permits
- Open work permits
- Permanent residency documentation
- Driver’s licenses
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- HCA certificates
- Criminal record checks
- Monitor compliance and proactively communicate renewal requirements
Caregiver Engagement & Retention
- Serve as a key point of contact for caregivers
- Conduct caregiver check-ins and support retention initiatives
- Coordinate employee recognition and appreciation programs
- Assist with caregiver concerns and workplace issues
- Organize caregiver events and engagement activities
- Support a positive workplace culture
Employee Records & Administration
- Maintain accurate employee files and electronic records
- Ensure documentation is current and audit-ready
- Support policy implementation and updates
- Assist with reporting and workforce metrics
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information
Recruitment Marketing
- Assist with employer branding initiatives
- Support social media recruitment campaigns
- Create caregiver spotlight and recognition content
- Promote Longevity Care as an employer of choice within the home care industry
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years' experience in recruitment, workforce coordination, or human resources
- Experience recruiting frontline staff in home care, healthcare, hospitality, or service industries
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
Preferred
- Experience in home care or healthcare recruitment
- Knowledge of caregiver licensing and compliance requirements
- Experience tracking work permits and immigration-related employment documentation
- Familiarity with Alberta Employment Standards
- Experience with Indeed, BreezyHR, Payworks, or similar systems

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
