Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components using various techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with MIG welding processes. The Welder/Fitter will play a critical role in driving projects forward.

Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components
- Perform MIG welding on various metals with precision to meet quality standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to cut, shape, and assemble parts
- Fit and weld profile cut steel based on blueprints
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various welding equipment and tools effectively.
- Experience welding mild, and hardened steel grades.
- Proven experience in welding, fitting, or fabricating within a manufacturing environment.
- Rigging components using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently for assembly or installation
- Conduct machining operations as needed for component fitting and finishing
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment handling
- Perform basic math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and material quantities
Experience
- 5 years proven experience in welding (MIG ) all position. CWB tickets are an asset. If you do not have your tickets, we do require you take a test.
- Experience welding mild, and hardened steel grades
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation, and forklift safety is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with machining tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, calipers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
