We are currently recruiting for a couple Personal Support Workers to assist a male employer who is quadriplegic and needs assistance in all activities of daily living.
Shift times may change according to the needs of the employer.
Location:
- Charlie Lake (near Altec Inspection)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Saturday and Sunday: 6am to 9am
- Monday and Thursday: 6:30am to 10:30am, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 6am to 10am, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- Monday and Tuesday: 9pm to 11:30pm
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Assist with full personal care including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Transfer assistance with board or manual floor lift
- Meal preparation and medication assistance
- Assistance with daily ROM stretches
- Assistance with repositioning (turning onto back or side)
- Cleaning equipment and light housekeeping
- Assist with hobby-related tasks (binding homemade calendars)
Required Qualifications:
- Driver’s License (Class 4 or 5) and personal vehicle is required
- willing to do a Criminal Record Check
- comfortable working in an environment with a medium dog
- Willingness to be trained
- Physically fit and able to assist with lifting and moving approximately 160lbs
