Barista & Sales Associates provide excellent customer service as they prepare and serve specialty beverages and low-preparation food items and promote the sale of items within the store.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferably, an individual with previous coffee shop experience who has prepared specialty coffee and food orders or food & beverage experience where they have prepared specialty beverages. A background in retail sales would be considered an asset.
This role requires someone who has an out-going personality, can communicate effectively with customers, and understands the importance of great customer service and building a relationship with the customer.
Must be available and willing to work working a variety of early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
DUTIES
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Warmly greeting customers to The Pulse.
- Preparing and serving specialty beverages and filling customers’ food orders while adhering to all health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Engaging in conversation with customers and answering questions regarding products and merchandise offered at The Pulse and the area in general (for example, hiking trails, eating establishments, giving directions).
- Processing payments.
- Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the equipment used behind the counter and the store in general; this includes following the closing procedures for the day.
- Looking for ways to increase revenue and market share through product placement, variation, merchandising, and promotion.
- Dealing with and resolving customer concerns in a timely, respectful, and appropriate manner.
