Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support licensed physical therapists in providing quality patient care across various clinical settings. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes in condition
- Support patients during therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Experience
- Prior experience working in hospital settings or acute care environments is preferred
- Proven experience providing direct patient care, particularly in rehabilitation or physical therapy contexts
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy techniques and safety procedures
