Responsibilities
WELDER POSITION
- Perform advanced welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG and Stick welding on trucks and trailers.
- Ensure weld quality meets required standards and specifications.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure accuracy and strength.
- Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
- Assisting on other mechanical repairs
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
- Complete paperwork on ShopView.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
HEAVY DUTY OR TRUCK AND TRAILER TECHNICIAN POSITION
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostics tools.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble and reassemble machinery.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear or damage on components like axles, brakes, engines, or electrical systems; perform necessary replacements or adjustments.
- Complete all service paperwork as required through an online system.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven journey-level experience as a welder with strong proficiency in various welding techniques.
- Proven journey-level mechanical experience working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs or fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with hand tools, and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward safety compliance and quality assurance.
- Possess mechanical aptitude.
- Must have own transportation.
Pay: $36.00-$39.00 per hour
