Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various carpentry techniques and be capable of working on diverse construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in building and restoring structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and client specifications.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications.
- Perform flooring installation and tile laying with precision.
- Execute drywall installation and finishing to create smooth surfaces.
- Build frameworks for concrete forming and ensure they are plumb and level.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electrical workers, to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate material needs for projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong skills in tile laying, flooring installation, drywall work, concrete forming, and restoration tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
