1+ years of Construction experience is required. This is not an entry-level position.

Preference may be given to applicants located in Southwestern Ontario due to ease of mobilization.

About: Oosterveld Construction Inc. is a family-run commercial construction company specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings, insulated metal panels, concrete forming, and commercial renovations. We also take on residential renovations when needed. We value organized job sites, teamwork, and people who take pride in reliable, quality work.
This is full-time, year-round weather dependent employment, as long as there is work. Most projects are located across Ontario and require travel, with no guaranteed project location.
Schedule: Work days are 5-7 days a week. The typical schedule is 3 weeks on, 1 week off to return home, attend appointments, and plan personal time. Occasionally, schedules may adjust due to weather or project needs. Everyone on our crew has families and commitments, and when you are on rotation, we expect full dedication during those three weeks. While the schedule can be demanding, our rotation is designed to give employees predictable time off.
Travel: For remote projects, shared Airbnb-style accommodations are provided, generally within about 45 minutes of the job site. Travel time is paid at the beginning and end of each 3-week rotation when mobilizing to and from remote project locations. Employees can choose to driver their own vehicles if parking is available. Mileage is not paid when a seat is available in a company vehicle. Daily commute time from lodging to job sited are not paid. Meals and Incidental expenses are reimbursed weekly according to company policy.
Responsibilities include assisting with commercial construction work, material handling, site preparation and cleanup, operating tools and equipment, and following all safety procedures. Work is outdoors and often at heights.
Requirements:
Previous construction experience, preferably with pre-fab buildings
Valid driver’s licence
Ability to travel across Ontario and stay overnight when required
Physically able to lift heavy materials and work at heights
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Fluent in English
Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform certifications preferred, but willing to train
Pay ranges from $20 to $26 per hour depending on experience.
Employees are paid weekly every Friday. Vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, and overtime are paid according to Ontario regulations.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
