Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting individuals to join our Recreation & Parks department as Aquatics Fitness Instructors. Reporting to a Recreation Program Coordinator, this position will be responsible for delivering Aquafit Classes to a wide range of clientele. Our team offers aquatic fitness classes during the daytime, evening, and weekends year-round.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, responsive to customer needs and excellent at building relationships.
Qualifications

Aquatic Fitness Leadership Certification (Fitness Alberta (AFLCA), Water Art, YMCA or Can Fit Pro Certification).

Current Standard First Aid Certification.

Preference will be given to those with prior instruction experience.
Hours of Work
Aquafit classes are held during the following times:
Fountain Park
- Summer: Monday – Friday, 8 – 9 am and 12 – 1 pm.
- Fall: Monday – Friday from 7 – 8 am, 8 – 9 am, 11 – 12 pm, 12 – 1 pm and 8 – 9 pm. Saturdays from 8 – 9 am
Servus Place
- Fall: Monday - Friday from 8 – 8:45 am and 9 – 10 am
- Summer: Monday – Friday from 7:30 – 8:15 am and 8:30 – 9:30 am
Compensation
The wage ranges from $34.00 - $46.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
