The Espanola & Area Family Health Team is an
interdisciplinary group of allied health
professionals promoting improved health of
individuals in and around Espanola by providing
increased access to a range of health care
services.
The successful candidate will have familiarity
with the health issues of the community and will
work collaboratively with other primary care
providers to improve the health of the patients’
accessing the services through the Family Health
Team.
This will be accomplished through active
employee involvement, continuous training, and
development, as well as a commitment to
compliance with policies, procedures, and
standards.

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care within the scope of
practice of the RPN, including taking vital
signs of patients, removing sutures, giving
injections, monitoring Blood Pressures,
assisting with minor office procedures.
- Aid with system navigation and clinic
orientation/registration for new patients
and existing patients being recalled or
followed up by their provider(s).
- Assess patients to identify appropriate
nursing interventions
- Delivers immunization programs, and
administers medications and treatments as
prescribed by a Physician
Qualifications:
- Completion of RPN/RNA diploma program
with current registration in good standing
with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Demonstrated knowledge of the role of
interdisciplinary health care providers as
part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge and understanding of the
Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple
tasks, prioritize workload
- Ability to provide attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication
skills
- Fluency in English and French is an asset
Benefits:
- This position offers a competitive
compensation package including pay in
lieu of vacation and benefits. The wage is
$26.306 – $29.719 per hour based on
experience
- Up to $35,000 in recruitment incentives
based on eligibility.
