Purpose:
The Dish Washer is responsible for cleaning all china, silver, glassware, kitchen utensils, kitchen equipment, the staff cafeteria and assigned areas of the kitchen, working in cooperation with both the front and back of house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleans all china, silver and glassware used in the outlets. Scrubs, scrapes, sprays and sorts all dishes
- Uses dish washing machine(s) for many duties
- Responsible for the condition of items cleaned. Inspects and re-cleans as necessary. Reports all breakage and damaged items to the Supervisor
- Cleans all kitchen utensils, including pots and pans
- Cleans kitchen premises including the garbage and compactor areas. Cleans the fixed equipment after each service including bakery items (such as ovens, stoves, etc...)
- Delivers staff meals as instructed and cleans the staff cafeteria after each meal
- Responsible for all equipment, linen and supplies given for the performance of his/her duties
- Ensures that breakage, pilferage and spillage are kept to a bare minimum
- Ensures that he/she is properly groomed and attired, including proper and complete uniforms
- Adheres to all rules and laws related to hygiene, and safety
- Reports to manager daily activities
- All other additional duties as assigned
Candidate Profile:
- Able to communicate in English. French is an asset.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience (at least 1 year) preferred
- Schedule flexibility preferred - must be able to work any shift
- Outstanding (internal) customer service skills, positive, can-do approach
- Ability to receive direction and feedback, manage stress, and work well with other associates
