The Role
Cumberland College is seeking experienced and industry-connected instructors to teach in our AI for Business Data Analytics Diploma Program. This program prepares students for careers in business analytics, business intelligence, database administration, data mining, reporting, automation, and AI-enhanced decision-making. Students develop practical skills using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, databases, automation platforms, and AI-powered analytics tools.
As a Part-Time AI Business Data Analytics Instructor, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing course plans and teaching materials to meet the defined training objectives
- Integration of the course material on the LMS (Canvas)
- Delivering engaging instruction aligned with module objectives
- Assessing students’ progress and performance
- Participating in certain program-related administrative tasks
- Ensuring students comply with policies and guidelines
- Taking part in selected College activities
Required Experience & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Science, AI Solutions, Database Administration
- A college or university degree in a relevant field
- Professional certifications (e.g., MS Azure AI, PL300 – SAS, CAP, Power BI, Tableau, Oracle SQL )
- Strong knowledge of Chat GPT and other relevant AI tools
- Excellent understanding of tools and frameworks (e.g., NIST 800, CIS CSC, MISP)
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in teaching, facilitating workshops, or coaching colleagues is highly desirable
- (PIDP) Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (preferred)
- LMS experience, Canvas
