Overview
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious ATV Herbicide Applicator to support vegetation management operations in remote and industrial work environments.
Position Requirements
Successful candidates must:
- Hold a valid ATV/UTV Operator Certification.
- Be proficient with geo-referenced mapping applications such as Avenza Maps or similar GPS-based field navigation software.
- Be highly competent interpreting and navigating using Legal Land Descriptions (LSDs), township/range systems, and associated mapping.
- Have a strong understanding of logging road protocols, radio communication procedures, and safe operation in active forestry and industrial areas.
- Be capable of working independently in remote locations with minimal supervision.
- Possess excellent navigation, documentation, and field communication skills.
Required Equipment
Applicants must provide their own:
- 4x4 Pick-Up Truck
- Trailer suitable for transporting an ATV/UTV
- ATV/Quad equipped with an herbicide spray tank and application system
Daily equipment rates will be paid for the use of the applicant's:
- Pick-Up Truck
- Trailer
- ATV/Quad
Required Certifications
Candidates must possess current:
- First Aid Certification
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Valid Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous herbicide application or vegetation management experience.
- Experience working around forestry, oil and gas, utility, pipeline, or industrial rights-of-way.
- Knowledge of herbicide handling, mixing, application, and environmental stewardship practices.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly or daily field rate.
- Additional daily equipment rates paid for truck, trailer, and ATV use.
- Project-specific details to be discussed with qualified applicants.
