Dental Receptionist
Position Summary
Our established family dental practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the front office. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Manage appointment recalls and follow-up communications.
- Register new patients and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and explain coverage to patients.
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Communicate with specialists, laboratories, and referring offices as required.
- Obtain and organize referrals, radiographs, and patient documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous dental reception experience is preferred.
- Experience with dental practice management software (such as Tracker, Dentrix, Cleardent, or similar) is an asset.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance billing procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, positive, and compassionate attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
