Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. [email protected]This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight and equipment. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, along with experience in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks for the transportation of freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver logs, and other required documentation
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading processes
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform vehicle inspections, and handle freight equipment as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety standards
