Position Overview
The Operations Associate (OA) is a hands-on professional who plays a critical role in the customer experience. The OA is responsible for performing various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfillment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. It requires good attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety that will contribute to the overall success of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established guidelines
- Verify product accuracy, quality, quantities, lot, serial number and expiry before shipping
- Coordinate with carriers and freight service for outgoing shipments
- Generate shipping labels and documentation
- Prepare packages for shipment by securely packaging items and apply shipping labels
- Receive inbound shipments, unloading, verifying packing slips and purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damages.
- Reporting and reconciling any discrepancies and restocking pick locations.
- Processing inbound receipts and stock put away, including updating locations and managing overstock.
- Contribute to overall organization and cleanliness of the facility.
- Support sales departments with general inquiries, special handling requests, service complaints and reconciliation.
- Adhere to all safety practices and processes ensuring all federal, provincial and local requirements are met.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in Distribution/Warehouse/Inventory Management Role preferred
- Experience in Customer Service Role preferred
- Exceptional written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Accountable and dependable
- Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Highly proficient in using a computer
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality of work
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
- Forklift certified/experienced
