**This is a local delivery driving position. Candidates must be located in Greater Victoria to start the shift.**
Who We Are
- ColdStar Solutions is an island-based refrigerated 3PL carrier and grocery wholesaler with terminals in Victoria, Richmond, Cassidy, and Comox.
The Role
- You’ll be starting in Victoria each day and driving onto the ferry. Once on the mainland, you’ll be doing multiple pickups and deliveries and consolidating your load at our Richmond terminal.
- Then returning to the island on the 10:45 pm sailing to Nanaimo, stopping at the Cassidy terminal to drop off/ pick up before returning to Victoria at the end of the shift.
- The route is variable depending upon operational needs.
- This is a Monday to Friday, with the shift starting at 3 pm.
The Responsibilities
- Pick-up and delivery of skidded grocery product to customers around the Lower Mainland
- General P&D activities such as: safe driving, completing related paperwork, providing customer service
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with the ColdStar team and their customers
- Report all incidents and safety hazards in a timely manner to the supervisor or manager
Who You Are
- A confident and safe Class 1 Driver with at least 2 years of professional driving experience and no major driving infractions
- A reliable, flexible, and respectful team-player that takes pride in their work
- Someone looking for a local driving job that lets them be at home every night
What You Bring
- Experience driving a 53-foot trailer and operating a manual transmission
- Experience maneuvering and backing trailers into tight areas
- Experience using an electric pallet jacks and tailgates
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs
- Good knowledge of the Lower Mainland
- Knowledge of reefer settings and food temperature hauling requirements would be ideal
