Mon Pitou is hiring a part-time Barista/All-Rounder to join our team. This position ranges 15-25 hours per week with mandatory weekend and flexible weekday availability.
Shifts are typically 5 hours, with the possibility of extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Closing shift (8 PM end)
- Opening shift (6 AM start)
- Fulfill coffee orders using a semi-automatic espresso machine
- Fulfill sandwich orders
- Perform the morning bake-off (proofing and baking pastries)
- Assist with product inquiries
- Sell our retail products, including on Uber and DoorDash.
- Package retail food products
- Organize and maintain pastry displays
- Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
- Restock products & supplies
- Adhere to all sanitation codes, such as deep clean duties
- Dishwashing and housekeeping duties
- Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
*Must provide consistent commitment & availability*
- Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs.
- Able to finish by 8 pm and start at 6 am.
- 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required.
- 6 months of serving is an asset
- Baking or kitchen experience is an asset
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Collaborative, honest and dependable
- Attentive to detail and quality while multitasking
- Reliable, punctual and independent
- Fluent in English
