We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Professional Installer to join our growing team. If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working independently, and value delivering an outstanding customer experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you already have experience installing custom window coverings or have a strong background in finish carpentry, construction, cabinetry, millwork, or other skilled trades, we'll provide product-specific training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Professional Installer, you'll be responsible for completing high-quality residential and commercial installations while representing Budget Blinds Muskoka with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Independently driving a company vehicle to scheduled residential and commercial installation appointments throughout Muskoka and surrounding communities.
- Installing custom blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, exterior shades, and motorized window treatments safely, accurately, and professionally.
- Verifying measurements, making minor on-site adjustments when required, and ensuring every product operates perfectly before leaving the job site.
- Providing courteous, professional service while answering customer questions and ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Loading and unloading products, maintaining installation equipment, and keeping the company vehicle clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Maintaining an organized workspace while assisting with inventory, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse housekeeping as needed.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures, including safe driving practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Working closely with our sales consultants and office team to ensure installations are completed on schedule and to the highest standard.
- Continuing to develop product knowledge and installation techniques as new products and technologies become available.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing exceptional work while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Qualifications include:
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable independently driving a company vehicle to customer locations.
- Experience installing blinds, shades, shutters, or other window coverings is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to accurately read measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and working safely on ladders.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lb (23 kg).
- Perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
- Bend, kneel, twist, reach, and work in residential and commercial construction environments.
- Safely climb and work from ladders up to approximately 20 feet.
- Load and unload products, tools, and installation equipment from company vehicles.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional additional hours may be available during busy periods.
