Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong commitment to safety and punctuality. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks for the transportation of freight across various locations
- Load and unload freight using heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure all freight is secured properly before transit to prevent damage or accidents
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding schedules and delivery updates
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, and heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous
- Strong attention to safety protocols and compliance with transportation regulations
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability
Prior experience with freight logistics or related fields is a plus
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
