About Sorrentino's Cucina + Bar

Sorrentino’s Cucina + Bar, located at Century Park, is looking for a full-time Line Cook/Pizzaiolo to join our team! This is a key position within our organization that plays a critical role in providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards with a focus on Italian cuisine.
- Prepare pizza dough and ingredients; operate and maintain wood-fired or stone pizza ovens.
- Stretch, top, and cook pizzas to order with precision and consistency.
- Ensure the assigned station is fully stocked and ready before each service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to stand, move quickly, bend and lift continually for an extended period.
- Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef.
- Adapt to various kitchen tasks and cross-train as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in accordance with local health regulations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a kitchen or casual-dining restaurant is required.
- At least one year of experience as a Pizzaiolo is preferred.
- Experience cooking Italian cuisine is required.
- Fluent in English.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Ability to work standing for long periods and lift items up to 50lbs.
- A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and customer service.
