Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate skilled carpenters and subcontractors, ensure adherence to safety standards, and maintain high-quality craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and construction crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide project execution accurately
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly
- Enforce safety protocols and quality control standards across all phases of construction
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
- Utilize construction management software for documentation, reporting, and tracking project milestones and budgets
- Oversee material procurement, inventory management, and ensure proper use of resources on-site
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with plans, schematics, and safety regulations
- Assist in construction estimating by reviewing plans and preparing cost assessments when needed
- Lead meetings with clients, subcontractors, and team members to communicate progress and address concerns
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in commercial or residential construction projects as a Carpenter Foreman or similar leadership role
- Extensive hands-on construction experience with a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and building practices
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore or equivalent tools for project tracking
- Experience with Primavera P6 or other scheduling platforms for project planning and timeline management
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety standards within the construction industry
- Skilled in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource allocation for large-scale projects
- Ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety compliance
