Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Countertop Polisher / Finisher to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing countertops to achieve a high-quality, polished appearance that meets our exacting standards. Your expertise will help transform raw materials into stunning, finished surfaces that enhance our customers’ spaces. Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to polish, smooth, and finish countertop surfaces
- Use machining and fabrication equipment to shape and refine materials according to specifications
- Apply finishing techniques such as grinding, sanding, and polishing to achieve desired surface quality
- Conduct quality checks throughout the finishing process to ensure consistency and adherence to standards
- Assist with assembly and installation preparations as needed, ensuring proper fit and finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery including welding equipment when necessary
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, machinery, and manufacturing processes
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment safely within a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with machining, assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
