Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated carpenter with drywall board installation experience to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will make a tangible impact. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry tasks, ensuring precise drywall installation, and supporting various construction activities that bring projects to life efficiently and safely. This opportunity may extend into a full time job for the right applicant.
Duties
- Framing for new shower and bathroom installations
- Finish wood trims and baseboard where needed
- Install drywall boards on walls, ceilings, and partitions with precision, ensuring smooth finishes and proper alignment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery to cut, shape, and assemble wood framing, cabinetry, and other structures.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed for project support.
- Assist with framing, flooring installation, tile laying (bonus), and caulking to contribute to comprehensive construction efforts.
- Conduct restoration work including drywall repairs and finishing touches to maintain high standards of quality.
- Support plumbing and electrical rough-ins where required; collaborate with specialists for seamless integration.
- Use construction estimating skills to assist in project planning; adhere strictly to safety protocols during heavy lifting and material handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry with a strong focus on drywall board installation in residential or commercial settings.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, and CNC machinery for precise craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of construction painting, siding installation, roofing techniques, tile laying, flooring installation, caulking, and masonry is highly desirable but not required
- Experience with construction estimating and schematics interpretation will be advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
- Excellent teamwork skills; handyman experience or versatility across multiple trades is beneficial.
- Valid construction experience combined with a proactive attitude toward safety standards and quality assurance.
