Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student development, and supporting diverse learning needs. This role requires excellent and strong communication skills, proficiency and commitment in working as a member of a team, classroom experience, and a genuine commitment to child development and education. The Teacher will play a vital role in shaping young minds and promoting an inclusive, engaging educational atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Communicate clearly with team members and work cooperatively and effectively with all coworkers.
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student participation and curiosity
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special needs or disabilities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral observations
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and classroom activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom events
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Ensure safety protocols are followed to create a secure learning environment
Requirements
Montessori experience is preferable but not required.
Must be able to work cooperatively, respectfully and effectively with team members.
- Proven experience in teaching or working with children, preferably in early childhood education or special education settings
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work well with diverse groups of students and staff
- Classroom experience that showcases effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques
- Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in education practices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
