Order Picker / Delivery Driver

Job Description
We are a busy produce wholesale company serving restaurants and businesses throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Order Picker / Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse work with local deliveries. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately
- Inspect produce for quality and freshness while picking orders
- Organize and stage completed orders for delivery
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Deliver orders to restaurants and commercial customers throughout HRM
- Verify orders and obtain delivery confirmations when required
- Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with customers
- Keep delivery vehicles and warehouse areas clean and organized
- Assist with receiving and putting away incoming inventory
- Work safely in refrigerated/cooler environments
- Follow company procedures for product handling, food safety and delivery
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required
Requirements
- Valid Nova Scotia driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving delivery vehicles
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry boxes weighing up to approximately 50 lbs
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous delivery, warehouse, produce or food-distribution experience is an asset but not required
