Duties
- Take and accurately relay customer orders for food and drinks using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and proper food handling procedures.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience and address any special requests or concerns.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cashiering duties and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in preparing garnishes, stocking supplies, and setting up workstations to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service, support other staff as needed, and uphold the establishment’s hospitality standards.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly preferred; familiarity with serving or bartending roles is a plus.
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register platforms is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling, bill splitting, and accurate order processing.
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is essential.
