Summer Cruiser– Duncan, BC
Your summer just got a whole lot more exciting! We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic, and reliable Summer Cruiser to represent our station across Duncan and surrounding communities.
This is your unique chance to get paid to experience the community like nobody else. You’ll be out at local events, fundraisers, and community spaces, connecting with listeners and helping bring the station to life all summer long.

Vista Radio has an opening for a temporary, part-time Summer Cruiser, based in Duncan, BC.
Term: May through the end of August
- What You’ll Do
- Represent the station and its sponsors at events across Duncan and surrounding communities
- Attend and participate in community events, fundraisers, and local initiatives while creating a strong and positive station presence
- Take the station’s sponsored cruiser vehicle to local events and community spaces
- Provide on-air “cut-ins” throughout event days to promote community happenings and engage listeners
- Capture photos, videos, and content at events for use across social media platforms
- Share live updates and social posts highlighting the cruiser’s stops and activities
- Work closely with Sales, Promotions, and Programming teams to maximize exposure at key events
- Compile and maintain a calendar of local events relevant to our listeners
- Manage promotional item inventory and coordinate distribution throughout the summer
- Assist with station remotes, promotions, and additional community events as needed
- Support setup and takedown of promotional equipment at events

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Enjoyment of a fast-paced environment that balances teamwork and individual responsibility
- Comfortable engaging with the public and representing the station professionally
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Clean driving abstract and ability to be insured
- Ability to lift and transport promotional materials and equipment as required
- Interest in radio, broadcasting, and community engagement is considered an asset
- ️ Schedule
- Primarily weekend shifts, with the main shift occurring Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Some weekday and evening shifts required depending on event schedules and operational needs
- Availability to work holidays is required
- Schedule will be flexible based on the summer events calendar

This position is based in Duncan, BC, with travel required throughout surrounding communities to attend events and station activities.
