Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of public areas. The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality for our guests, contributing to a positive hotel experience. Previous experience in hospitality or custodial services is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas including hallways, walkways, lobbies, banquet area and restrooms to name a few
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and towels to ensure guest needs are met
- Set up and tear down meeting room spaces
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with hotel standards and regulations
- Rectify minor maintenance issues
- Report any large maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Clean and service guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with washing, drying, and folding of laundry
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality is preferred; industrial cleaning experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet daily cleaning schedules
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks throughout shifts
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures is desirable
- A positive attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance at all times
