Overview
Daybar Industries is currently seeking a Production Scheduler / Load Planner to join our growing team in Brampton, Ontario.
The Production Scheduler will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and issuing and tracking of shop floor work orders from inception to completion. The Scheduler will also be responsible for planning, building and scheduling of outbound consolidated shipments.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Builds, maintains, and adjust monthly/weekly/daily production schedules
- Work closely with all departments to communicate and align schedules according to production and demand
- Work in collaboration with the Production manager and Production Supervisors to coordinate the activities of production ensuring adherence to schedule.
- Prioritize and direct work orders through production to delivery
- Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads (Pool Trucks, Containers, etc.)
- Load planning and optimization to ensure transportations costs are optimized while adhering to customer delivery dates
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- MUST HAVE minimum 3-5 years’ experience in production control, planning in a job shop manufacturing environment.
- Experience in freight management and load planning
- Disciplined in prioritization and organization of work.
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
