JOB OVERVIEW:
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders while coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Scheduling & Execution
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and milestones
- Oversee day-to-day project execution, coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor progress and adjust plans to address delays, risks, and changing conditions
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications
- Lead project meetings, including kick-offs, progress reviews, and closeout sessions
Budget / Financial Management
- Develop, manage, and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices
- Manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation and cost recovery
- Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to leadership
Client / Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Maintain strong relationships through consistent, transparent communication
- Provide regular project updates, including schedule, budget, and risk status
- Manage client expectations and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities
Process Adherence
- Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and reports
- Utilize project management systems and tools effectively
- Ensure adherence to procurement processes and contract requirements
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and lessons learned
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with site teams to implement and enforce safety plans and procedures
- Monitor job site conditions and address potential hazards proactively
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations as required
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years project management experience in general construction
- Ability to manage projects 20+ million
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or equivalent)
