About NCP Electrical
NCP Electrical is a licensed electrical contractor (ECRA/ESA #7016906) based in Greater Sudbury, serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients across the region, including surface and underground mine electrical work. We are a growing, locally owned company led by a Master Electrician.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a full-time Apprentice Electrician to join our team and train toward the Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A) trade. This is a registered apprenticeship: you will earn while you learn, log hours toward your certification, and work under the direct supervision of our Master Electrician. It is a genuine entry point into a skilled, in-demand trade, and for the right candidate it can lead to continued apprenticeship and full-time, permanent employment with NCP Electrical.
No previous electrical experience is required. We are looking for a reliable, safety-minded person who wants to build a long-term career in the electrical trade.
What You'll Do
- Assist licensed electricians with installing wiring, conduit, cable, panels, devices, and fixtures on residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs under supervision
- Learn to read electrical drawings and apply the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Follow jobsite health and safety procedures at all times, including mine-specific safety where applicable
- Prepare and maintain tools, materials, and a clean work area
- Progress through the 309A apprenticeship and attend scheduled trade school
What We're Looking For
- 18 years of age or older
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn the trade
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with hands-on work
- Able to lift, bend, climb, and work in varied site conditions
- Committed to workplace safety
- A valid driver's licence is an asset
- Pre-apprenticeship or electrical foundation training is an asset but not required
